Q3 2019 Earnings Call

The Salem Media Group Conference call with the House minority leader, Kevin Mccarthy Trust him CEO at singer.

Thank you operator, and thanks to all of you for joining the call today I know, we've all got busy schedule. So this is important and I very much appreciate you participating in my thanks to.

To minority leader, Kevin Mccarthy, a good friend of silence for taking its time to help us.

We wade through our messaging on this.

Absurdity.

Each month.

The inquiry I don't think anybody on our team believes for one moment the called the president.

With the Ukraine pressure.

In any way in any way rises to any level.

Inappropriateness or certainly high crime and just to meet or that's not impeachable thought. So this is really a political charade, but we need a little bit of insight from maybe a closer closer to the present as to how we can best.

Broached the issue and I like the.

Leader to also spend time talking about the possibly three taking the house I think he believes that it's very possible I think we don't have the we have to flip.

18, 19 seats to do that so.

Could I ask you in a moment to want to take it and act as a moderator I think we can cover most of what we want.

The leader answering the questions that you have out and you will feel those.

We got about 45 minutes as always it's off the record.

Unless otherwise mentioned, but I think we should treated rolls off the record.

Very much appreciate Kevin you, taking the time to help us with this important roles that we can help our audiences to understand how to put this together and how to put in perspective, so with that.

Kevin I'll turn it over to you went into Q.

Thank you Ed and then you and thank all the you for being on the call today, what I'd like to do as walk walk you through.

You're very educated on all this.

I apologize if I take anything that you already know, but I just want to start with the same framework.

Give me a few things of where I think this is going and where we end up.

Now you all know we took that vote.

Yes vote was 38 days after Nancy Pelosi thought that she had the power to happen Pitchmen acquiring the one thing you have to started I would say you have to educate your audience Jeff.

This is the first time in American history, and we ever had a partisan impeachment.

If they believed in due process and transparency all they had to do whats copy paste.

Take off the shelf, what the Democrats good for Nixon or what the Republicans good for Clinton and vote on that they did not.

Scaled this for the sale sole purpose of getting to impeachment I want to walk you through the intricacies to explain why they're doing also remember when we had the boat.

For the impeachment inquiry on Clinton there were 31 Democrats you joined with Us.

Remember this quote in March of this year.

Once you close to the speaker the house send us.

They teach minutes so devices to the nation.

He would have to be overwhelming.

Selling and bipartisan for us to move forward.

Right, there's nothing overwhelming.

And there the only bipartisan vote just doesn't go no because two Democrats joining with us. So she doesn't even meet her own criteria, what she laid out for everybody.

So what they haven't done is even powered.

I'm sure they didn't tell committee to now be the impeachment Committee.

They've done much further than that you have to know the makeup of the Intel Committee and yes, I will add a different person onto the Intel Committee before they start to just to know.

It's gonna have to new hearings and I want you to understand construct your dictates behavior.

Any committee in Congress and it doesn't matter or whatever you are every member is given five minutes now as you as a member about five minutes you can yield at the somebody else are you could take that tight.

Adam shift has done something different.

He now says members of Congress cannot ask questions. So he wants.

First 45 minutes only he could ask questions and only Devon and only staff.

So doesn't come not yield too.

On Radcliffe John Radcliffe, it's a former U.S. attorney a prosecutor and he's our trade goudy of this world right now okay.

Adam ship knows that Adam shift is a prosecutor I'll give them. That's what he told me the skills Devon is not an attorney. So what is trying to do is make the playing field stronger on their side and weaker on ours. Okay.

Devon is not allowed to yield down the line to another member only the stack couldn't interviewed well the Intel couldn't committee is designed more to talk about China and everything else oversight Committee is one that goes to these battles and investigation. So I had to move to staff or from older.

<unk>.

In the Intel, but the structure then tell so different than they didn't have an impeachment, it's not the mindset, but because they're in the majority. They had spent this time just hiring those people and bringing them up so we're at a disadvantage to start with that.

He also said when they call a hearing we have 72 hours to bring our witnesses forward now we don't get a do witnesses for every single hearing we have one time to offer witnesses and they can do a lot of different hearings and tell us who they're bringing on and it's too late for US. We're not allowed to do others now I'm going to argue that and tried to school have them during those.

At times, but you got to understand the structure in which they laid this out and they get to determine whether we get a habit either witnesses we request that so no. This is nothing like anything in the past.

Adam shift is convention.

He is going to get to to 18 in.

Between you and I I think he has 218 belts.

I don't think there's an argument on the stocks. Okay. This is all based upon that phone call in the one thing I would say to all of you do not deviate from that.

This is the way the whistle blower talking about this phone call shift talks about this phone call. We all have the transcripts of the phone call. So we can all make the decision about that the thing you have to understand though the phone call is July 27.

Two people to present at the President of Ukraine.

Ukraine does not know that money is being withheld until August 20, 829, and the way they find out is an article in political.

September 11th.

The the money is really.

What the Ukraine due for the money to be released.

Truly be nothing.

Got to quid pro quo won't have to do something pretty other actually.

So what does it meet the criteria and what everybody else, we put conditioned on money that we give to other countries all the time, because the taxpayer money but.

Is the prejudice legally right to ask.

The president of Ukraine to help on a case about what happened in 2016, not talking about 2020, yeah.

Yes, I broke the law today and I ran for the U.S. then it two years from now you can't bring that up come on.

There is already an open case on the U.S. attorney we do this everyday with other countries will you help and work on an open case. So I did a poll and I just tried congressional districts and I are them about.

The transcript two thirds of them believe they think it's wrong, but they don't think that's impeachable.

More people think hi, biden should be investigate but they don't believe that can teach will stick to that phone call. The other thing you'd have to remember.

Inside of Federal case, if you are building and you are at U.S. attorney in your building your case on an formats that inform it has to testify.

Why is it a form it have to catch like did you want to you want to see the right you want to see them what are they telling the truth.

This whole started with Adam shift, saying that he had a whistle blower and that the administration, what's the nine the whistle blower from coming forward now they don't want the whistle blower to come forward.

I think it would be productive that the whistle blower did come forward I think the public would have a hard time, if he got to testify.

And.

I understand that people get tired of process. The whole beeson there were three things I talked about when when impeachment started I started on the process could structured it takes behavior I also understand that the Senate is the jury and you know what happened to be talking about the process. The Senate Republicans. All came together is that no. One this is unfair and they got.

50 of them on on a resolution already we want to talk about the opportunity cost the opportunity cost of what we're not doing U.S.M.C.A. <unk> prescription drugs. They have issued more subpoenas than we now have a lot for this new Congress.

That is very compelling the other opportunity costs were less than a year away from an election.

We're not allowing the voters to decide they think they know more that that very compelling yet and then I have all these boats I'm doing on the floor things that they should have been doing those three prongs, but stick to the letter you at the end of the day at this debate is all about the transcript when I say the letter the transcript about phone call.

Do you ever have Democrat, who thinks its impeachable, but the majority of Americans do not when I did not pull with 95 districts for every one of the study it was impeachable I ask them when they wanted the president to be impeached long before that phone call. So what is going to do is try to drive people, who already dislike can do they want them impeached, but we should remind or less.

There is what impeachment means.

Removing a duly elected person from office.

And do you have to remember why he's being selective Adam shift is about releasing these transcripts some will be bad probably not the when you read a bad one I know that's first hand knowledge because almost every single one is a third or four had knowledge and I don't care somebody tell somebody else you Gotta go on TV and you got to tell the say your for the President are you.

Doing something else did they ever take that actually no. So you didn't have a quid pro quo and most of its second third had knowledge and almost everyone that I've ever heard of that's gone into these.

And to these hearing so there's no quid pro quo.

So I'm just going to want to think we stick to the transcript we tell them about the opportunity cost when he was a great explain to this that this is not an open process.

And even when we get to the public apart inside of.

Yes Sherry.

I don't get to determine.

What what rights the President had that's like saying you could have the first you have the first amendment right you could say whatever you want but you can only say things I agree.

The last part of that I would say as they need to release all the transcript not the selected ones. So that's the key part let me stop there you and ask answer any questions a directions or where you want to go.

And I can always easily get into the election part I know I didn't go touch on that one exactly do that would get there we can get there before you got all gone.

Well do I'll throw it to you what you bought lets you began with the questioning.

All right I will Oh I pick out the something you said later, which is Adam shift is does he have a motivation to conduct it this way or is it speaker Pelosi did they think this is helping them politically or does Adam ship thinking setting them up to succeed Dianne Feinstein in California, what is the mode.

I think Adam first started last term.

I think in dialogue Diane would not run.

That's why you had swalwell that's why you had.

What's your patient Northern California, They also going on TV 'cause it's made it on TV [noise].

Now it's personal data.

Because adams been caught lying too many times.

Adam has gotten into he thinks he now has fame.

But they are pregnant on that's okay.

Mostly lose is one way or another they could not back away from that.

They have to follow through this that's why she doesn't have it wouldn't Adler that's why that's why they're changing the scope of who can ask he has to write the record at the end of the day and it has to have to 18 to impeach.

Sure.

So my follow up would be if we lose the later.

We may have.

Kevin you they're good.

Oh I'm here, Okay, all right well you are muted for a minute there.

Oh, it's Kevin back.

Yes, I think so.

Even this year.

Leader Oh, my follow up on on what you're just walked us through if you had your choice. If there's an article up impeachment voted to decide it would you prefer that the Senate peremptorily dismiss it or would you prefer the Senate to do a deep dive into the irregularities of the process it into 26 to <unk>.

I'm not hearing the leader.

Hello Devin.

He is on the line maybe he muted his line give me one moment.

I was with different recently had a meeting.

Well actually we lost our speaker give us one moment every tobacco.

Okay. Thank you we were at an event with it recently got a call from a precedent. So maybe that happens that does happen [laughter].

He won't wait for the minority her to come back on do you want to a brief the crowd on your take on the elections today.

Well I did.

It varies I just don't think it was a bad night for Republicans now where dornan, Kevin Mccarthy Oh, good were walking back Oh, we were speculating that maybe the president called go back to where you were talking about.

Perfect do any of you had the problem since the update for the Apple. So the told because my thought I got cut off three times with the President. This morning, you kept calling back up in California, Yes, you did what are you starting this because he wanted to run for sanity thought he built name I'd now lets personal now lets his reputation now.

We have to finish it up and yet she wants to be the senator all of them are combined now below sea in him art art the hip they can't give it to navios because he's inept.

He's going to write the report finish it up Sinitta badlar, they're gonna have less than a week and they're going about out impeachment and send it to the Senate and they're not getting this done before Thanksgiving. This is like at the end of the year.

So when it goes or the set at my last question would you prefer that it be dismiss peremptorily by quick and thorough vote 53, 40, 752, 48 or would you prefer the leader to take a long time in the Senate to probe every quarter of this including the irregularity into due process violation.

It depends how it comes out we haven't seen the report yet I think the longer it goes it maybe worse for us if it goes a long long time in the Senate.

I don't think they can on the first day dismiss it I think they gotta do a little but I'd like it to be voted on dismiss it did 51 boats could that.

I don't see really anything new call me.

But if it's not three if it's not for all of you telling the truth. The rest of the media I mean I was on faced a nation. This weekend and well get sits there and I said, where your way and you're going to try to change the outcome in losses, you still need still change outcome. My comments were just become pledged.

Got it shops, I mean, how far.

All right I want to remind everyone. If they want escalator question get Star One star one and then you're getting the Q first question our friend might Gallagher.

We don't Mcarthur yards always thanks for taking time for us I understand the process and I think our listeners gets the sham that this is but let me just ask your your what is your gut tells you about what this means.

Not just for the president politically but for for all the the are you end up and down the ballot. What does this due to the house races. The Senate races. As this impeachment thing plays out does your gut tells you. This you know big picture does this benefit all shirt or are we going to face some real challenges as we sort of go through this nightmare.

We are so divided as a nation. So what I really want to look at its intensity. That's always the number one thing I look at the pool.

Democrats had an 8.5 advantage in the last election, the intensity on the Democrats I'd would come out I shall I see an NPL recently, how does plus seven so the complete opposite no I don't know that if that sustains itself last night, there's a lot of things I can read into that election, we still have problems in suburban area I would not play into the Governor's race in Kentucky.

He is just so unlike I mean, they want every other office so the Republicans when anyone big that they made a conscious decision not to vote Jake isn't just like to.

I've got some successes in some places, but they redistricting lives in Virginia. So it's gonna be top it depends how what the views at the end of the day if the present at the end of the day is viewed as the victim. It will be an advantage to us if at the end of the day Hamilton words, right, but you allow one party control they used impeachment folks.

For political purposes, they will lose in that nature.

But you know another thing happens, we're all state of the others. This the impeach does that take the flavor out and I think the number one thing that's going to happen is who is there nominee if they're nominee at the end of the day is Elizabeth Warren.

The combination of impeachment and intensity level with Elizabeth Warren we win because I think it'll also depressed their moderates.

And the president is doing better with minorities and people understand if she's doing worse now mayor Peter It's gonna right. There Peter is gonna do really well in Iowa, because I wasn't very wide.

But when you get a minority places he will not do as well, but I still think its Elizabeth Warren.

All right. Our next question go through a Doctor Sebastian Gorka.

You did because the I I'm than your guy on the block I've only been here for 10 months, but I already have too. Many <unk> 2 million list does and there is a trend that I'm seeing from a call it and I'm sure. It's reflected in all of our other host shows when two weeks ago, you have 31 members.

Stole my shifts on the grounds gifts.

Rather than maybe it was because that that visual was seen as something that really represented a resistance to the SRAM to this this impeachment fraud or can you reassurance that you have a plan that will provide you the American electric with with similar visual.

<unk> shows us that but the good guys are pushing back every single day.

Well first of all congratulations on how well you are doing and I. Thank you for having me on your show absolutely.

We're not gonna do the same thing every day, but were going up we're going to take advantage of every opportunity. The one thing you have to know the rules are against us.

By having that topic and the people say well why why aren't you there because you can't.

Preset it I Gotta <unk> I got to have it has a group and I like it almost looks like organic and what happened she had to fold. There's two reasons why pelosi fold. It I was going into that room, and then we got deep senators to sign onto a resolution about the process.

Remember how that I took place I put a letter out to Nancy at the very beginning and I gave or 10 question. The 10 questions were about due process in others. It was everything that Clinton had.

I did that more for the said it didn't for the house because they control the house.

But in the sitters I go to <unk> I Gotta Lindsay Lindsay starts building that's right.

The easiest way for a senator all get to yes is the process is unfair that they sell right into that argument because they didn't change. It now 38 days letter they changed it but they didn't change it took care process, it's only because of those actions you're going to find each and every day. If there is a window if they leave something open we're gonna charge.

Because one the country expects it.

Second one this is so on their mission that we should never be in this position there should be dismissed if this was in a quarter law there would be a missed trial.

Adam shift is a soft witness and you need in hot every listening or understand what that means.

He is the only person he and his staff, who know what they said to the whistle blower nobody else knows that in any judicial system in America, they could not be the prosecutor, but now he's the judge she's determining whether the people even answer or question.

Hi, This is unheard up no one should be treated this way the worst murder in the world does not get treated this way in a court of law. So we need to emphasize that and we we you will watch and then you'll watch who I put on and.

On Intel because I need some people who are gonna go to Lauren there, but I also need to use that time wisely about sharing it who gets the most at who's the best at it.

I go next to Larry older Larry.

Leader Mccarthy.

When the whats hope what works no role.

You see an analyst.

Onset with great Cuomo and I can tell they really haven't thought too much about the sport because they haven't coordinated how angry they're supposed to be a Donald Trump.

And no much Rick we actually what I am live at the whistle Blower, you said I heard these calls too when I was the CIA and for permanent can have a phone call with his counterpart at a foreign country. What how are we doing here the purpose you'd be able to say whatever he wants and formal.

Well, what should someone do hear something wrong I feel much they quit write a book.

Right.

Two publicly disclose the concept of a conversation the president here.

Along with asking the question.

Why don't you just you.

Yes, so what is kind of thing happens all the time thinking about.

Well.

So what the conversation wasn't innocent conversation not criminals, let alone repeatable so what.

That is excellent and what I'm doing right now.

I'm trying to find any of these people who are criticizing the presidents are in have been part of ambassadors and others did they criticized the president also when he wanted to move the embassy Jerusalem.

Did they criticized I mean, let's take every action and why is this one different well he's the president United States. He has the right to do it you criticized it you just your own personal philosophy, and then I want to fine that's fine every ambassador who got recalled from Obama.

Because obama didn't care about their position they have the right to do it and what's wrong, what's happening right now we're in a silo right there controlling and their marching these people it but nobody is asking did you go do you did you go to the authority above you did did you follow the process. They did and if they released those transcripts that's exactly what would be hearing that's why you.

On all the transcript released because radcliffe with excellent in questioning these individuals and actually got a lot of that out of it.

Thank you Larry next up Kt public Uptown all.

Hi leader I think it's not you're taking the time.

First just to note of importance in the last couple of hours a week from the attorney for the with the blower have been dug up and show him calling for a cool his words I too against President Trump so that might be helpful for everybody on the phone call.

But since you keep telling us that we should go back to the phone call that prompted this whole impeachment maniac to get kicked off my question is can you tell us the name of the whistle blower.

Okay I do not.

I do not know who the whistle blower is I've never met with the whistle blower. The one thing I would love to have since you all have shows everyday.

You don't body language expert I hope body language expert on and shows a cliff that Adam shift getting asked the question if he knows who the whistle blower S. I'll guarantee you that body language courses. They look at him like look at the way how he moves I mean, you just saw when he said and I'm no expert in this basis, but.

We also ought to know who this whistle blower is because if you have any federal case biden form it they have to come before court he should as well and I think you'll find a lot of information behind it the whistle blowers, who they save the date, who people are saying who it is.

And they do not want to come court, what's interesting to me when I was on faced a nation.

They call me five minutes before I'm going on there and they say hey are you going to just had the whistle blower extend the question what do you talking about well the attorneys I've got enough. It didn't send it to me <unk> directly send it to Devon on its phone and he's he's in California.

It was a total set up trying to get us to go somewhere and were 100% United No that whistle blower needs to come before if that whistle blower started all this they gotta look the Americans in the I, because regardless I don't care. How you stand philosophically you were trying to remove a duly elected president from office.

[laughter] you got to be able to answer that question to everyone.

Thank you Katie next up Mark Davis.

[noise] are you I wish liter. Thank you a real quick.

Yes. The question I had that I've got a tiny whistle blower agenda really quickly a sharp winning back the houses so vital here in Texas, We got a lot of retirements and I get a lot of listeners who say mark everybody's tell us the Trump is killing us in the suburbs I've never believed that whatever his suburban appeal. He won with it in 2016 I see.

No reason for suburban voters to be any less enamored with him now than they were dead. So I wonder if you share my view that that suburban drags thing is a myth and my quick.

Okay. These question.

Louie Gohmert told me a week or two months ago, she totally knows who the whistle blowers, where in a room filled with confidentiality you to us and US to you do you believe that he does and is he alone in that regard.

I believe Louie believes he knows who it is I don't know he's never told me.

I I don't know if somebody on our side, who knows I think there's a number of people on our side, who believe in thought ahead of time, who they.

Who they came out with.

And the article that they believe that it's the person that too they thought it was.

It meets the criteria.

No you bought something up very important and let's just talk from Texas, you want to start having some people on your radio shows one should be Wesley huh.

Yes, we haven't isn't Westpoint graduate he happens the African American equally igloo Apache helicopters. He's got an N.B.A. from Cornell when he is in West point, John James was just roommate, he's raised more than a million dollars she's running for Texas. Seven. This is usten. This is George Bush's 40. Once you. This is.

Suburban area I did a poll he's ahead by three point.

Having never been elected before.

In 20, Ted I was the recruitment chair at this time in 22 and that's what we won the majority I had about 520. Some candidates. We're now over 700, the highest record ever for women Republicans running is about 136, we're already over at a 142 when I got so many more months to go with shattered that record.

Oh, the freshmen there are 30 freshmen only one woman or the 55 seats were playing in half of them, we'll end up being in the nominee will be a woman and the reason, how we're able to recruit them because of the squat conservative women say, that's not who we are they're more likely to run.

You ought to start bringing up Michel Fischbach now this is Minnesota seven this happens to be.

The chairman Colin Peterson, the chairman of Agriculture, We also voted with US when it came to impeachment, but he has not set yet whether he had run again Michelle is the the former lieutenant governor the first woman ever to be Senate President.

This is.

Trump went to see by 23 point colon does not run we automatically when it without spending any money and I only need 19 seats.

19 at a 55 to playing and 31 of those 55 Trump 113 of them are Ruby read that he won with more than six.

So this is very very doable, our recruiting is better.

We are doing better financially, but they still have acted blue which were raised $3 billion. It's almost at a billion. This year for all of them, but our when Rad, we raised 30 million the first quarter.

It took actblue three years to get to that point, we're really doing quite well are an improvement we won't do its gallas them, but trump wages more money online than anybody else and once you get that information in you're more likely to get somebody to donate to.

That's terrific news when Red let me break him with a quick follow up about the member or members you're going to add to the Intel Committee. Mr. Later, I think Mike Gallagher is the best spoken smartest former Marine Intel ops are available and that's my pitch, but are you looking for one or two and are you looking for somebody can do the Sunday shows.

Just as well as cross examined witnesses [noise].

Okay. So what I'm looking for in the Intel Committee most people come on the until committed in Gallagher is what I'm looking out to a point in the future not this time because the Intel Committee is now being Peach make committee.

So I'm looking for somebody who's been in those hearings already so has the knowledge Radcliffe is my very best one because he is also he is the only person in Congress. It is also on judiciary and on the Intel.

So he's been an all the different meeting because the only person in Congress, it's had a Pfizer Oh witnessed <unk> wrote a fives award so.

Can I add there it'll come out it's no secret of this off the record 'em up a gym Jordan on I think Jim Jordan didn't even want to be oversight ranker and I call them 30 minutes before I said, you're the best person for the job Jim and I were very close come in any ran against me, but I think Jim is the best I think he's done a fantastic job I think he's.

Great. That's at his knowledge is great. It's more that oversight I want to add to it I don't want to add too many people because they're all taking time I want that time shared between Jordan and Radcliffe.

So I want the people who are gonna be able to fight with the knowledge and I want the very best questioners, because Intel is where they're going to write the report problem. Okay. We're gonna right. Our report they're gonna right. There. So we have to extrapolate something right and so we're gonna be going for something within ours judiciary is where is gonna be public and has a much.

Different play and I got enough people within there, but in this area I've got to have my very best people with a greater knowledge I got so I got Devin I also have a couple of people. Another really good players who have been in this on the Russia stuff Turner, who is an attorney and others that'll do quite well and what I'm doing for individuals who come off there they're going to come off during this.

And then I'll put them back on for the rest of year.

After after impeachment.

Kevin Rivette, either Jack let me interject quickly here or maybe a dumb question, but is there anyway.

Radcliffe could be substitutes for known yet newness and just as chair so that he could share it or is there a.

Technical way that could be daughter, newness would probably not going well.

I don't think Devon would go for it I don't know if it's the best Deboning Radcliffe I'll highlight how I manage this is once they started it they did seven committees I cheated. It does one right. So we've worked very closely altogether.

I didn't does not get shy about giving away the time and others I think we're going to win this argument I mean devins whole point as to if you put too many people on here, they're going to want to ask questions and I don't want members, who are going to ask questions. Because they want to go on your radio show on go on television. This is I want the very best defense for the President I want to win.

So I'm, putting the very best people on where the best questioning if it came to that I would seriously look at that but I want to make sure Radcliffe and.

Jim get the time.

Okay. Since you up did you mention Jim Jordan East from Ohio, So, let's go to our Ohio spot rats.

Yeah.

No I.

I just shared with you because it's off the record something nobody knows okay. So you should get tested fate.

And I don't because I don't want a dynamic I don't want the Democrats that I want to I want to blindside them with it but I think they somewhat no.

Our leader Mccarthy again, our joint everyone else in thanking you for your time today. This is very important information I wanted to go back to the whistle blower question, a and also the attorney for the whistle Blower book Sebastian and Kt brought it up and in fact, I think Dr. gorka tweeted. The name that we all know and that some people are indeed, quoting and saying is the whistle blower.

But the the importance of today's tweet that was uncovered from 27 teen by the attorney Repped presenting this alleged whistle blower, how much importance should be placed upon this one we're talking to our millions of listeners combined around this country that he literally called and said the COO is underway impeachment will have.

And you will not finished this term and this particular maturity Mark date as his name representing the whistleblower as we kind of know, but not know him to be for him to have made that statement in 2017, or if that's something that we should focus on and make the American people aware of in terms of the tree a you know the Buda topic we're.

All witness.

I want you to focus on it so much I want the two year old child repeating that back to their parents.

I guess is gone on too long against this president.

We should not be living this way in this nation. This is exactly what Hamilton warned us about when you had when you had impeachment put in.

You cannot say that and thank you are not a part of this you cannot make this crap up and the whole reason why they're down trying to beach is based upon the information of what we're trying to get to that happened during the 2016 cakes.

I don't want us to get as close as we're getting so everybody should know there should be able to repeat about everybody should be talking about that every single kind of a witness goes up there they have to defend that.

I'd add Morrissey from Hot Air Dot Com.

Thank you.

We don't Mccarthy for being on with us back to the election in something you brought up earlier, which is the U.S. Mexico, Canada agreement. This has been sitting around for almost a year known Donald Trump signed off on this year Oh I see your goal I think was November thirtyth of last year and the Oh House Democrats have this insane.

The majority of the person here [noise] and Nancy Pelosi was on Bloomberg TV last week thing that's what's the easiest trade deal that they can do and yet it's not being done and she is that the obsessive focus on impeachment is it's not a problem and and so my question is this a.

That really true and see how could we talk about this in a way that.

Reminds people that.

It wasn't C and and doing away with sort of elitist establishment.

Governance is the reason why people voted for Donald Trump into first place.

You should also but no other president could have done. This this is another promised he made but this is what you want to do two months ago, Mexico became our number one trader.

Canada became number two.

This month, the president is sitting down with our number one third trader China.

Okay.

What do we not be stronger and that negotiation with China. If we had our agreement with the number one and number two trader.

Are they more concerned about tearing the president down instead of building the country OCC.

And I I put a I put a tweet out today why put this video together of all the times Nancy says she's trying to get to yes. It's been month after month. After month. They are holding that they would not do this unless they're going to impeach. The president. This is my belief I have no knowledge I think they're going to when they had peachum they'll probably turn around the same weight and bring up U.S.M.C. yet.

So they could say were governing at the same time when peachy. That's why she holds it we're gonna be coming up on another continuing resolution.

Why on our troops being paid why are we harming our military there is no excuse for this it's all about impeachment, we've got a challenge with what China, What's your Iran. With this Syria with Everything's happening and the Intel Committee has not had one hearing on that why because the only having hearings on impeachment.

This should be as much as those tweets our everybody should know that the other thing we should do you have a lot of listeners you also have a lot of followers on Twitter, we should find a way when there are certain points of something I bring up or others multiplying effect.

And I don't know Ed how the best do that but maybe there's one or two at times when I.

I find something very good if you guys would do the multiplying effect or have you have something that we multiply it too we found that it's been very successful as well too. It's just another way the message growing.

Okay lets a jump in and go out to Denver and talk to Jimmy sending in Burger age I mean.

Hi, guys leader Mccarthy. Thanks, so much for taking the time today I saw you speak several years ago to my Tony Republican Party, and Arapahoe was quite impressed and those impressions I had continued today with how you're handling these proceedings I'm, just curious and now that Adam ship announced earlier. This afternoon that he's going to be opening up to public hearings a couple of them just.

A couple next week does that change anything substantial or make up for how they've handled the past few weeks. The Democrats are going to to say that and clearly ramp it up I'm wondering how you think we should handle initially like that.

Okay. This means it's on this means this is there a playbook.

They're going to start there they're gonna have to finish okay. So he's got his plan in his mind, what he's got to get to able to play what we're gonna do we have 72 hours to release our witnessed list.

And.

It makes a big difference right am I going to only pick witnesses.

Who they won't call.

And then at the end today say it wasn't there are we going to pick witnesses that also some very good witnesses that repeat them that maybe already have come in but they won't call back the only call back the bad ones.

This is something I'm working with the team and others because I want us all in the same page I wanted to have the same strategy and then everybody agreed to the strategy I'm also looking in remembering regardless I wanted to take everything else. The jury only rest within with the Senators remember in mall or it was entire country at the end of the day the only.

People, who are voting on this or the senators and that determines the outcome.

So what what do they need in their mind as well so that's really what I'm grappling with and what I'm working with everybody on at this moment in time.

And this is where the attention is going to get bigger and you've got to remind the American public but this is not due process. This is not open we don't get to pick any witness we want they get to determine whether that one comes up.

I'm the president doesn't get his attorney in there to cross examine those are all things Clinton had and Adam shift is not Ken Starr.

Adam shift is not you can't be the prosecutor judging the jury.

Oh later, we got time again for two more so let's go to our Big stand prop course does morning drive out of Chicago, Dan Europe .

Thanks, you later Mccarthy just two quick questions one per you're saying focus on the transcript or the call. The report that Vin men's testimony included a suggestion that there were pardon at parts of the call that were admitted from the transcript is there at the White house disputed that of course, but is there any reason to believe that that transcript, there's going to be added it in any material way.

And then secondly, you've just in terms of the messaging point no quid pro quo and if there was it's not impeachable or would it be better as any Mccarthy and others have argued myself included to just say or call. It a quid pro quo don't call to quid pro quo, if not impeachable, it's just a foreign policy decision.

You know what there is conditions on taxpayer money, we do all the time, what I want to do and I'll get a paper for all of you every time money. It's been withheld from everywhere else is it a quid pro quo what what.

What Obama did with Iran. Why did you provide them money to try to do an action for something else. I mean is it a quid pro quo of what members get on a committee is you know the differences the definition of what that is right is there an action taken for something else do something wrong nothing here should the president put condition anytime tax.

There is money is going to another country, yes, yes, they should.

What I would tell you a the first part of your question about is there other words related to now that's why you want the transcript that's why when you have is.

The authority above the individual who said that there's a number of people who listen on these calls and what they do at the end of the day. It may not all agree but they get to that certain point of what they say it didn't change the outcome of this and I believe and then you can get the transcript he'll say exactly that when it gets asked that question.

So that's why we want this more out in the open so for every little selective thing they leak, we've got somebody else that knocks out away.

And you're going to find a lot of things that come out that sounds terrible and find out is that second third or fourth 10 knowledge I don't care of I walked up to you and I told you have you know what I need you to go on your radio show I'd say a lot of great things about the president the President never knew I I asked you to do that for one and then you don't do it.

That's not a problem so.

Remember, what we're dealing with here the removal of the duly elected president and they're choosing with everything else. When you got a tweet of an attorney says it's on its wet it's happening.

Okay are converging more fill boyce imports from New York, though.

So are you on mute.

Hi, This is Dennis actually I got through shows like Joe demonstrate how much longer.

Leader with coffee. Thank you for your time.

Adjusting.

Oh sure my questions that I have.

Are there any Republican left in a in the house I will speak about the Senate what is a house still believe that Democrats come to work with.

Oh no.

No not probably not on their leadership basis I'm working with their leadership there are still people who come in and think it's doable.

But I think it very very difficult about where we are today.

There are you on certain issues that will work you about something but they're not in a power and what Nancy has done. She is she has stuck on the power a the squad controlled really what's going to happen on the floor, but right. Her in Adam ship got together right before she came out and said we're gonna be an impeachment inquiry and rolled out is.

Script and they're following the script to this day and their goal is to drive the President's numbers down and Peter.

All right last question.

I had done if you've got about <unk>.

I want to show in light of I would only say Oh I wish I believe watch my life.

Oh.

We have to go the good guys have to go on me off.

Sure My life, there was a civil war in America, but only one side is fighting thanks to you and others. We aren't we really are fighting now not enough.

I bought for example, I think the country needs to be toll Josh what what the Democrats are doing is currently a cheap I mean, the word impeachment. That's for the first time it has been Politicised that American history.

They are doing to the president what they did your bread capping off in other words, there has to be sound bites of they are bad not sound bites the president initiatives.

Yes.

Yeah, and you're just like every other California, I guess, you're in Florida, now, it's either that or [laughter], when they're going to throw them out tomorrow Kevin.

Having no [laughter].

[laughter] Alright last question to cabin Mccullough, our Uh huh.

New York City, Kevin do you get the last one Kevin Mccarthy.

Thank you. Thank you speaker real quickly [laughter] leader sorry, the speaker to be very soon the question I have is in my own listening area. We've got four potential districts that I think that can turn there some of those magic 31, and the neighboring state Yeah Jersey, there's at least.

One seat in California, there are I think somewhere near five or six that if there was some lenience on the salt exemption for tax policy that probably contributed to the loss of those seats that could see those change I'm. Just curious is there going back to practical election stretch.

She is there.

Possibility that we could get some sort of leniency on some of those heavily taxed states. It gives those candidates some some ammunition.

You could get some of that maybe.

The Treasury department, because you're not going to get it through law.

Remember article one section sending all tax reform starts in the house a the Democrats aren't doing anything in that version of going like you raised up a couple of different issue. Yes. That's right you Tom came in New Jersey, you ought to look at that's even better Lantus don't see the Democrat who hold it today, he put John Mccain and as I've said.

He was going to be very bipartisan evokes with AOCI, 97% of the timing of course, when it came out for impeachment and I think Tom can could actually win in its ahead right down the polling.

There are places it David validate always sitting in a seat that's not to Trump seat that's up 74%. Hispanic.

With him last night it in a fund raiser formed in Bakersfield I found ready to $200000.

He.

We did a pull.

By 13 point.

This thing is very doable and what I'd like to do be able do I have a work through you add another I'll give you. The list of a number of individuals who I think had the best potential given the opportunity beyond air sometimes talking about this and well one thing I hope you all seeing an understanding we have never been so United that's apart and one thing that we do pretty bad we talk ourselves down to.

Much like Republicans addition, probably that you just watch to vote on the floor and this is where the outcome will be we just show to the American public because this is a part isn't fight.

That's a bipartisan vote, what's to stop this impeachment and we need to energize the Republican basis AIDS. Yes, you know what your Republicans are fighting for you join them help them and be a part of this don't sit back because they can't do it alone.

All right well, we're at about 320 now so I think we better let the leader go Oh leader Kevin Mccarthy. Thank you. So much remember everybody that the what he shared with US is off the record.

And Oh, you've got some great talking points, so let's figure out a way to get a multiplier effect going so best wishes. Good travels and thank you again, thanks to all of you for joining the call.
