The second-order risk for the current leader is margin compression. If management responds to share-loss narratives with more aggressive feature bundling or higher-usage tiers, ARPU can rise in the near term while gross margin gets diluted by heavier inference consumption and enterprise support. That creates a classic “growth is good until it isn’t” setup: revenue can still accelerate for several quarters even as unit economics worsen, especially if enterprise customers use the more expensive tier to arbitrage away from a competitor’s dedicated coding tool.
