Bloom is trading like a scarce capacity option on AI power, but the market is implicitly assuming every incremental data-center watt converts into a Bloom order. That is too linear: hyperscalers usually preserve optionality across gas turbines, reciprocating engines, utility PPAs, batteries, and self-builds, so Bloom’s real edge is speed, not exclusivity. The near-term winner set is broader than the article implies: gas infrastructure, modular generation, and power-services names can all absorb some of the budget that would otherwise sit in grid interconnection queues.

The bigger second-order effect is that a power-shortage narrative can delay, not accelerate, parts of the AI spend cycle.
