The biggest near-term risk is not a single blow-up, but a slow tightening of financial conditions via refinancing and duration. If the 10Y-2Y curve inverts meaningfully again or the 10-year pushes materially above current levels, the market will discount AI cash flows harder and force management teams to defend capex with more disclosure and fewer promises. Conversely, a sharp drop in rates would relieve pressure quickly, but only if it comes without a growth scare that simultaneously hits ad demand, cloud consumption, and enterprise IT budgets.
