AFFOA launched a Chemical Protective Textile Challenge to source commercially available and high-TRL textile materials that better protect against hydrofluoric acid (HF) and jet/rocket fuel hazards. The program will award three semifinalists $5,000 each and select one challenge winner for an additional $5,000 after independent testing and validation against performance objectives. An Industry Day on Aug. 4, 2026 will let participants pitch and engage with government technical experts and end users.
