GEV is not just participating in the AI power buildout; it is effectively sitting on the toll booth. The more important second-order effect is that its capacity reservation through 2030 turns the business from cyclical industrial hardware into a quasi-contractual scarcity asset, which should sustain premium multiples if execution holds. That scarcity also pushes capital allocation up the stack: hyperscalers, utilities, and EPCs will increasingly compete on project timing and financing, not just equipment price.

The biggest near-term winners beyond GEV are upstream grid and electrical component suppliers with long-cycle exposure to substations, switchgear, HV equipment, and engineered copper/aluminum content.
