For AMZN, this is slightly underappreciated as a competitive analogy: the more the AI stack rewards infrastructure control, the more AWS-like economics matter versus pure model ownership. For NVDA, the risk is not demand destruction but customer concentration and verticalization risk; a few very large buyers can internalize more of the stack over time, even while total compute demand grows. The contrarian view is that the market may be overestimating how quickly any orbital architecture can dent terrestrial buildout, but underestimating how much valuation premium should be assigned to companies that own scarce power, interconnect, and developer workflows today.
