Opus Genetics Reports Positive OPGx-BEST1 Data; Plans Potential Phase 3 Trial In 2027

Opus Genetics reported positive 3- and 6-month results from Cohort 1 of its ongoing Phase 1/2 BIRD-1 trial of OPGx-BEST1. The gene therapy is being evaluated in patients with BEST1-related retinal diseases, including Best vitelliform macular dystrophy and autosomal recessive BEST1 disease. Positive early-stage clinical data could support further development of the program and move Opus Genetics shares.
