QatarEnergy says Hormuz crisis may delay some expansion projects

QatarEnergy CEO Saad al-Kaabi said the Strait of Hormuz crisis could delay expansion projects because critical equipment cannot reach Qatar. The company is currently producing only a “very minute” volume of LNG, creating a potentially material supply risk for global liquefied natural gas markets and Qatar’s planned capacity growth.
