Source: The Globe and Mail
Geopolitics & WarElections & Domestic Politics
Ontario Premier Doug Ford responded to President Donald Trump’s “Lake America” decree by placing a billboard along the Canadian shoreline stating “Lake Ontario. Now and Always.” Canadian leaders’ reaction was ridicule rather than strong condemnation, keeping the immediate political and economic implications largely unclear. Overall, the news reads as symbolic rhetoric with limited direct market impact.
