In the next few days, that tends to compress volatility and keep the spread anchored unless there is an explicit offer price or a rival bidder.

For the consortium legs (LNSPF, RTBBF), the second-order effect is capital allocation scrutiny: any perceived overpay in a REIT acquisition can widen discounts to NAV across the UK property complex and pressure peers with weaker balance sheets or lower asset quality. If the transaction is stock-heavy, the acquirer’s own paper can underperform versus the target as investors hedge execution risk; if it is mostly cash, the read-through is more about balance-sheet capacity and less about share-price dilution.

Contrarian view: the market may be over-interpreting the disclosure as bearish when it is mostly noise around an M&A process.
